I'm talking album standouts that wrap the whole thing up in a bow. Epics! Left field surprises, or merely ones that create such a mood that they almost sum up the entire album.

Here are some of my faves:

Inner City Blues: What's Goin On (Marvin Gaye)
A Day In The Life: Sgt Pepper's
    Tomorrow Never Knows: Revolver
    Nightprowler: Highway To Hell (AC/DC)
    After Hours: Velvet Underground 3rd
Rime Of The Ancient Mariner: Powerslave (Iron Maiden)
Spellbound: For Those About To Rock (AC/DC)
The Jeweler: Slow Dazzle (John Cale)
I Walk On Guilded Splinters: The Night Tripper (Dr. John)
Desolation Row: Highway 61 Revisited (Bob Dylan
Blues For Allah: Blues For Allah (Grateful Dead)
Return Of The Son of Monster Magnet (Zappa/Mothers: Freak Out)
Cool Cool Water: Sunflower (The Beach Boys)
Surf's Up: Surf's Up (The Beach Boys)
Los Endos: A Trick Of The Tail (Genesis)
Sister Ray: White Light/White Heat (Velvet Underground)

In the betting pool, I'm gonna go conservative, with page 5....by end of page 5, I bet the last track of every Beatles album will have been posted.

Moonlight Mile....a heck of a way to conclude a weary from the road, drug addled and emotionally charged record.

'separator' off radiohead's king of limbs if only for being the only ending track in their catalog that has a somewhat optimistic/uptempo sound...at least from what i can remember. this track has always stood out to me for this reason. oh, and it happens to be a good song, imo.

'another life' off d'angelo's black messiah. has an old-school sound that harkens back to the delphonics. i'd be lying if i said i wasn't disappointed when it wasn't part of the set list last year at the apollo. otherwise, a fantastic show. back to the point...great ending track to a great album.
