Best Movie Cameos

Isn't that Kevin McCarthy (star of the original 1956 "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" ?

I guess you've never seen the 1956 version of Invasion of The Body Snatchers

In that film's original ending, star Kevin McCarthy is seen wandering in the street, yelling at passing cars "They're here! They're here!"



In the 1978 version, Donald Sutherland and Brooke Adams are driving along when a seeming lunatic pounds on their car yelling "They're here!"

FWIW, this is my favorite cameo of all time

 

My favorite cameos are the character cameos in the 1960s "Beach Party" movies. Unlike a regular cameo, with a character cameo the character often appears throughout the movie but you never see their face until near the end of the movie. As an example, in the movie Beach Party (1963) featured a character called "Big Daddy" he was sort of a guru who sat in the middle of a place where the characters hang out. He always wore a large hat and was either sleeping or meditating (it's never clear). Near the end of the movie he finally wakes up and it's Vincent Price. He says "Bring me my pendulum boys, I feel like swinging" and then he goes back to sleep.

 

This is sort of a TV version of the Alias Jesse James cameos. From the Maverick episode "Hadley's Hunters"; several Warner Brothers contractees make guest appearances:



I love the 77 Sunset Strip gag. As for Colt .45, it had been cancelled before this episode was shot.

He's also seen sitting on a street in the background for a second before his cameo.
And all of the Alfred Hitchcock cameos.

 

Samuel "Frenchie" Marx (born Simon Marx), Minnie's husband and father to the Marx Brothers, had a cameo in their movie Monkey Business.

• At 28:25: Louis M. Heyward, one of the producers and one of the writers, appears as an American general.
• At 59:13: Mario Bava, the director, appears as an amusement park ride operator.
