Question (since I pre-ordered the LP box from Amazon.de a couple of weeks ago)....

Does Amazon.de have a "Pre-Order Price Guarantee" like Amazon.com US does? Does it apply to overseas customers?

 

Yes, I have had it in the past. I assume it applies to all Amazons.

 

And "priority" shipping from Amazon.jp is pretty reasonable for this, something like $10 (the shipping in the U.S. for the Udiscover CD set was $40 haha)

 

Had the vinyl set in my soundstage cart for a couple of weeks at $389 with the 20% coupon code bringing it down to $332, but then removed it because I decided to wait and was ordering some other LPs from them. Was just on their site today and they're listing the box set at $359, but not honoring the 20% coupon. Contacted them and tried to convince them, but they told me they've been "instructed" not to offer the discount. Oh well - would have pulled the trigger at $359 w/ 20% off, but still going to wait to see if this drops before ordering.

 

No self respecting graduate of the London School of Economics would allow such discounts.

God, I'm so relieved we got that straight. Worth being interrupted by a loud alert.

 

Elusive Disc has the set with the 20% discount. Automatically applies right now. So, it's $311 + shipping (because it's not in stock) - total is $326

 

Just placed my order with Elusive Disc. Wonder if this set will be discounted even lower by other sellers? Hard to imagine that happening between now and the release date. Maybe a Black Friday deal perhaps?

I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger myself lest they go the way of SoundStage and decide to no longer honor the 20% discount. One can always cancel before it ships if it's found cheaper elsewhere.

 

And not a moment too soon...looks as though Elusive Disc caught on and the 20% discount no longer applies! I will also point out that their price was $6 cheaper (including postage) than SoundStage Direct, making it the best deal from a U.S. seller thus far.

I placed an order with them a few days ago when the 20% off still applied. Wonder if the 20% discount still applies on all the orders placed prior to them catching on and now stopping the discount?

 

This edition has 7-inch CD sleeves as per the description. Will the EU/US edition carry such sleeves as well?
