Maybe they'll explicit the ridiculousness and farcical nature of the original. I can't see the more PC Hollywood of today doing such a conservative piece.

heh. Considering how terrible their service could be at times, he must have had a lot of patience.

What worked in the 70s and 80s doesn't work today. At all. And yet they're obsessed with running into the brick wall again and again.

They'll make it work. Their way, I'm sure.

Yeah, have one or two minorities as good guys (but not protagonists) and you can get away with whatever anachronistic or reactionary message you want to convey. It's the Clint Eastwood method.

Jimmy Page can't do the soundtrack this time. He is simply too busy putting together that new music and tour he has been promising since the year 2000;)

Yeah, that rape of Hope Lange and her daughter is so brutal I never enjoyed the film. I saw it as a teen and was horrified by the inhumanity. In fact, I stopped watching it and it bothered me for a long time afterward. Some things just go over the top. I had the same reaction to the wine bottle scene in Pans Labyrinth. I know it's a good movie, but that scene ruined the film for me. I barely finished watching it and will never revisit it, no matter how good it is.

Bruce Willis has almost nothing but crap for a long, long time. (Exception: Looper and Moonrise Kingdon) A lot of direct to video tripe. He used to seem like a versatile actor. Good for action films, sure, but he could pull of drama (Sixth Sense, Nobody's Fool) and comedy (Death Becomes Her) just as well. I don't know if he's super lazy for the last 15 years or what.

    Hollywood loves a remake.

We need a Die Hard 20- year anniversary movie.

They replaced the actress who played the daughter for the second one. When you see the European cut, you understand why they did it, for all the wrong sleazy reasons.
And I agree with your second paragraph.

I can't stand BW in anything, so help me God. The Six Sense was a good movie, but he still had to throw in a little Bruno (thats right, keep walking cheese d**k).

That was called The Brave One which was not a remake. It was just another revenge film.

I don't know. I'm not sure I want to see Bruce as a vigilante.

Would have preferred Bruce to do Unbreakable 2.

I've never seen any of the Charles Bronson ones so I'll probably keep the streak intact if it is remade.

First couple were very good for their time.
Of course in this op world we can't show the horror that bad people do in celluiod anymore ( maybe a good thing ). Believe Quentin Tarantino dedicated one of his films to Bronson.

3 is probably the most campy. Basically, Paul is blackmailed by a cop to kill off a street gang. Very 1980s.

4 is when Paul is hired to kill off certain crime figures. It's more like a hit man style movie then a revenge film. Not as campy but still very 80s.

5 I only saw once and don't remember too much. From what I remember it was something about a mob boss. It was back to the revenge style without a rape. Charles Bronson was definitely showing his age in that one.

The only one I recommend is the first one. The others are just shoot em up style movies. Part 3 is very tongue and cheek. It is good for a laugh.
