I've bought quite a few of these compilations of afrobeat and related music put out by Analog Africa and Soundway labels.

This may not qualify as a "steal" but it's a nice price - $29 and change for 3 slabs of vinyl shipped from the UK- and considerably lower than usual.

These are small, boutique labels, and the compilations are painstakingly compiled with extensive notes and history. Some very rare recordings unlikely to be found anywhere else. In my experience of buying these over the course of several years, once they go out of print they are OOP for good, and the prices shoot up.

Fans of Fela Kuti, afrobeat, African music in general, take note!

I picked it up for $7.87 on August 1st. The first copy had two large audible scratches on side 2. The replacement was perfect. A little sibilant in some places.

Ordered it a couple days ago. Arrived today. Sony Legacy Stereo KG Mastering in opaque Blue.

Sounds just like my black copy...

wish it was the Mono, though.

I need an inexpensive blue copy mastered by Kevin Gray. Thanks for the tip.
