I loved the first 2 but haven't seen them in years.

Never knew there was a third one.

I really enjoyed Adrienne Barbeau's boozy shrew character in that one. I always liked the scene where her husband (Hal Holbrook) fantasizes about shooting her dead at the cocktail party and everyone applauds.

I rented Crepshow 1 on Amazon the other night and revisited it for the first time in years. Observations: In all but the last story everyone makes or is drinking a cocktail. Totally forgot Ed Harris was in Creepshow 1. Stephen King really plays a bumbling farmer to a T in "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill". I still get "creeped" out by the last story, "They're Creeping Up On You" because of all the cockroaches.

I've never seen Part 3 either, but I'm not surprised to hear that it's terrible.... it was directed by Ana Clavell & James Dudelson, who were responsible for the god-awful Day of the Dead 2: Contagium, one of the worst zombie movies ever made.

What King stories are used for part 3?

King had no association with part 3.

Oh, so they didn't even use his stories? It's just an anthology of stories written by other people?

Yes, my brother was a student there at the time and saw them filming "The Crate". Great movie.

Yeah, looks like the stories were written by other people.

Great posters for both films. Better than the films themselves, IMO. I have an original theatrical one-sheet for Creepshow. Very cool.
