Wonderful actor and writer, and always seemed like an all-around "decent kind of guy." Sad to see him go!

    Odd....
Few the past year, here in Vegas, I had seen his face all over!
There had been about four different "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" slot-machines, and...
I never won on them, but it was always a friendly reminder....

"The decision to wait until this time to disclose his condition wasn’t vanity, but more so that the countless young children that would smile or call out to him “there’s Willy Wonka,” would not have to be then exposed to an adult referencing illness or trouble and causing delight to travel to worry, disappointment or confusion. He simply couldn’t bear the idea of one less smile in the world."

I met Gene Wilder when he was promoting Young Frankenstein and he autographed my copy of the movie novelization. He was one of the sweetest men I've ever met. RIP

    This is unbelievably sad.
Gene Wilder was someone that I really admired.
    I liked him so much.
Very big part of my life.

    Just very sad.

To me, he was more than just funny.
He was so intelligent and truly creative.
So much more to him than just "funny", although he was that too.
    A lot to this man.

    This is the worst.

    Rest in peace, Gene Wilder.
