I did a quick google search and couldn't find another Steve Hoffman Forums thread like it. Thought that was pretty unfair for the greatest album of all time. Sorry if there actually is a thread already.

Let It Loose, for me; even if only for the background singers at the end :p

Torn and Frayed, one of my favorite Stones tracks.

But I could also make the case for about 10 other songs off that record.

Sometimes I really, really think it's Soul Survivor...

They're all the best song, but if you're asking "favorite" I guessed if push comes to shove I'd pick "Loving Cup."

I could pick 6 or 7 or 9 different songs as my favorite. "Happy" gets the nod though.

That actually used to be my least favourite, but it's grown on me quite a bit. Now its my second least. Ventilator Blues is the only song on the album I don't love

One of my all-time favorite albums.

I'll go with "Rocks Off". In that sense, the rest of the album is all downhill. Just kidding... :)

"Let It Loose" is darn close as a runner-up. Love that song...

Yep, a great one. It's funny -- if I tried to rank the songs on that album, it's probably put Tumbling Dice around 7th.

And Tumbling Dice is a freaking great song. The vast majority of bands would give up body parts to have a song as good as Tumbling Dice in their repertoire.

I love the album so much that if forced to pick a "least" favorite, I might say "Soul Survivor" or "Casino Boogie" and yet they are still "B+ songs"! I'd miss them if they weren't in the context of the album.

You really prefer something like Turd On The Run over Soul Survivor?

I still do. Every album needs a song where you get up and dance

Tumbling Dice was the most memorable for me.

"Turd on the Run" is just what it is... a turd :biglaugh:

The only song I really don't like is Sweet Black Angel. As a lyricist, Mick had problems when he tried to hit the nail too squarely on the head (remember "Sweet Neocon"?) I'm down with the idea of writing a song about Angela Davis, he just doesn't pull it off.

Not a terrible song, but to me the weakest on the album.

Not that anyone asked me, but "Turd On The Run" is in my Top 5 for the album and "Soul Survivor" probably last!

It just shows how good the double is. And that personal taste is very...personal. :)

Yes, "Let It Loose" is just amazing. Very emotional, for a Stones song.

I think "Tumbling Dice" is the song I might hum from time time. And "Happy".

I've always loved the energy and exuberance of Rocks Off. Of course, the lyrics...well, um...
