yes, for sure. My favorite moment is when Mick's "Let It Loose, let it rock on down," vocals finally fall into rhythm with the background singers', its so subtle but awesome. What do you think of I Just Want To See His Face?

I voted Rocks Off because it's a great opening song that begins an incredible journey called Exile On Main Street!!

Every song on the record is a fraction of a degree of greatness from every other. My favorite tho is "Let It Loose"

Loving Cup, Let It Loose, Shine a Light. The Stones completely transcend the basic R&R they're known for on these songs, such amazing performances.

Yes, I love that part as well.

I've grown to love "I Just Wanna See His Face" more and more over time. At first it was just "there". Now I actually look forward to it. I like how it comes in at the end of "Ventilator Blues". They are connected in fact.

Yes they bleed together don't they? It's one of my favourites. Great performance from the choir there.

Tumbling Dice. The first few seconds captures everything about the Stones really well.

I've just looked up the lyrics and you're right. I could have sworn it was rock on down!

Exile is my favorite album of all time, but I've never thought about a favorite song. I thought about it and kind of surprised myself by picking "Loving Cup". Nicky's piano and Mick and Keith on dual lead. I always picture those Montreaux rehearsals.

I've always liked Happy and Tumbling Dice. Great tunes. Can't decide.

Although hardcore Stones fans may cringe at the blasphemous thought:
Linda Ronstadt's hit cover of Tumbling Dice proved beyond a doubt how great a song it is - even without The Glimmer Twins playing it.

Admittedly, I'm a Beatles fan much more than a Stones fan, so as an outsider, please believe me when I say that nothing better captures the rawness and pure drive of the Stones for me, than hearing those first few seconds of "Rocks Off", when Keith plays that kick a$$ guitar lick, Mick says "oh yeah!" and then Charlie pushes it all into overdrive, is just some serious musical magic! What follows that great opening track is pretty magical as well. Out of all of their albums, "Exile" is clearly at the top of my favorites by them.

    Loving Cup. always.

re Turd on the Run - sure, it ain't the best thing they've ever done, but I don't get the hate for it a all. not a disaster, by any means

    "Pick one"

One?!!!!! When it comes to Exile On Main Street, that's like having to choose between my kids and my wife!

But if you put a gun to my head, I'd probably have to go with "Rocks Off", it's always just sorta summed up the whole album for me in a neat four minutes and thirty three seconds.

Forever changes, never a dull moment.

Over the years Rocks Off and Tumbling Dice we’re the favorites and Soul Survivor the least one.
More recently Casino Boogie, Ventilator Blues and I Just Want To See His Face came into picture.
In the first years Stop Breaking Down was one of the top favorites, but now i hardly listen to it.

Never did like Let It Loose so much. Should give it another try.

For me it's Rock's Off, but I do love them all. Exile On Main Street is my favorite album. I think it defines Hard Rock.

I picked Hip Shake... I know it doesn't lead the pack, but it's damned fine rock n' roll.
