Perhaps it would be,but a hobby isn't about "cheaper", it's about what brings you joy. For many in this hobby, myself included, that's about pride of ownership in a physical product.
I have 120,000 songs ripped lossless on an External dive w my Mac . I play when guests are over. But I love having a record and cd collection displayed as well and play both frequently .
Well you can,why not I have little space left for my many Jewel cases ,most are in the closet ,I do keep a few out ,and of course my Mini sleeve Box sets
I like how that stores PART of your collection. : Seriously though, awesome-looking shelving unit... I bet it looks even better up close and in person... That thing is huge.
Not sure what drivers are in those cabs, but that is one sweet-looking setup you've got there. Very-nice. Love the speakers.
Thank you! The drivers: Bass: PHL B38-5011 Midrange: PHL M20-2530 Tweeter: Beyma Air-Motion-Transformer TPL 150H The "38" and "20" are centimeters. So that's 15 and 8 inches respectively.

I've been booted out of my room and had to move the system downstairs I guess this will have to do for a while. I'm still tweeking it in and getting used to the sound.
It is not much what you have, it's where you have it. Now, here is someone who really knows how to relax and listen to his tunes. Rock On!
Still my favorite on A7's beautifully adapted for the home. Just another fan of old fashioned horn speakers!
I have loved the "look" of those speakers, since the first time you posted a photo of them a few years ago. TOTAL CLASS and I bet they sound divine?
Congratulations, these look great. I had some shelves made but failed to build in the flexibility you have. Next time I will follow your scheme, thanks for sharing.
I had been going to the website and reading a lot of the stories. My daughter bought me the book for Christmas. Great book. It belongs in every collector's collection.
