A friend of mine told me there are two versions of "Love & Loneliness". So I have questions: Is the album version different than the single version? Is the 7" single version shorter or different than the version that appears on the 10" import colored vinyl single?

Wow...I've stumped the forum for over an hour with a 1970s/80s song question?! How often does that happen? Anyone?

I have the single and the album. The single version is only slightly shorter. I think it is simply an edited version of the album track.

There was also a 10" single which (I believe) was the full album version. In any case there's only one recording.

If you don't have the vinyl, it's on the Motors remastered CD box set, but that set is heavily compressed. L&L is DR 6.
This excellent compilation CD is 17 of their studio tracks, and the SQ is better. L&L is DR 10. You can buy this on Discogs.com.
