importcds is currently selling a bunch of LP's for ridiculously low prices on eBay and listing the same for normal prices on their website. It's a way of building customer base.

I took a shot and ordered it - the 15% off coupon didn't work for me, but a 10% off one did. Total is $42.68 shipped. Time will tell...

 

I had some of the same thoughts. I actually just bought one of these (potential Xmas gift?) at the soon-to-be-closed Hastings in town. It was $100 after all the various discounts...

 

They're not. I ordered two sets - one from Jet.com, the other from pricefalls.com - both for under $60 (including shipping) and they're 100% legit.

 

I've had the set since 2009 and I'm STILL jealous!

My US version has discs that were made in Japan

 

They were all made in Japan, however he is referring to the ones specifically sold in Japan, with Obi strips and possibly additional booklets, of this I'm not sure. Japanese Cds often include lyric books and Japanese booklets.

 

I got the box from pricefalls about a month ago and it is legit. You'll be happy!

Correct! The Japan-for-Japan version goes for way more money than the J-for-US pressings...

I am curious. How bad are the fakes? They can be had for $25 shipped on eBay

 

I never followed the counterfeits that closely, but I think they're pretty spotty. Didn't a bunch of them play the stereo albums instead of the mono? Maybe I'm wrong about that...

 

It looks like my box is set to arrive today. It shipped last Friday 3 days ago. Not bad. $47 free shipping no tax and 3 day delivery. Crazy. I tried to use the 10% coupon but couldn't get it to work. Still $47 is nuts.

Never ordered from Pricefalls before, my guess they are similer to Jet.

 

Why are there stereo versions on the mono box?

 

They are only on Help and Rubber Soul , they are the original 1965 mixes, the 1987 CDs used a new remix from George Martin, who thought the original mixes sounded "whooly", the 2009 stereo CDs used Martin's 1987 remix.

 

It is a beautiful set, here are few pics of mine, I payed more than $50 BTW!
