To be a purist, for me, from movies to tv is a big fall. I'm thinking of the classic movie stars who continue working in films, for decade after decade. Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, James Stewart, Marlon Brando, Pacino, Olivier, Gene Hackman, Robert Duvall, DeNiro, Denzel, those kinds of movie stars. As far as women, Hepburn, Crawford, Davis, Streep, Miriam, again, one's with longevity.

 

James Woods- He's around, mostly on Twitter showing himself, too bad, he made cool movies.

A big gap between 2009 and 2013. And what she has done since 2001 is not memorable. I believe she had plastic surgery that basically ruined her face. I remember watching 'Kate & Leopold' in 2001 and thinking - "she's had some work done on her face and shouldn't have, it looks terrible". I guess sometime after that she went overboard and had more done that makes she unwatchable.

 

Mary Mastrantonio was on 'Limitless', a CBS show last year that was cancelled after one season.

 

And I haven't seen Mary Pickford in anything since 'Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail.'

Jennifer Jason Leigh was never much of a "blockbuster" actor anyway. A look at her filmography shows a career packed largely with smaller films - she did a couple of "bigger films" but usually stayed with the "art house" stuff.

I think she's viewed as an actor with more hits than she ever had - and she rarely actually tried to have hits...

 

There's a good pick! Most of the actors cited in this thread still work regularly, but Fiorentino's vanished - no IMDB credits since 2009 and even her personal website is blank!

Sounds like he just decided it was time to retire! He was in his 60s when "NYPD Blue" ended, so it's not like he left the biz at a young age ala Michelle Meyrink...

 

She still seems to work a lot - she just isn't in big-name projects that much...

 

Julie Entwisle. I really thought she was decent in Stephen King's The Night Flier. It looks like she's married to Mark Pavia, who directed that film, as well as the more recent Fender Bender, but other than her appearing in Night Flier and another film called In & Out (where she's simply billed in the role of "student"), not a word about her anywhere. Pavia's got an online profile and a few interviews but doesn't mention her.
