"Better Be Good To Me" had no use for the truth of the last round.

That brings us to the final pairing. Remember, you are still voting to eject a song, leaving your choice as the Stronger of this pair standing.

Discussion question: What would your personal final pairing be?

Bonus discussion question: Did you ever see Tina perform any of these songs in concert? Where, when, how was it?

Next up: LandHorse is going to run a Patti Smith album.

T3 Better Be Good To Me
4 We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)
    T5 River Deep-Mountain High
    T5 Let's Stay Together
    T5 I Can't Stand The Rain
    T8 The Best
    T8 Steamy Windows
    T10 I Don't Want To Lose You
    T10 Typical Male
    T12 Nutbush City Limits
    T12 It Takes Two
    T12 Addicted To Love
T15 Be Tender With Me Baby
T15 I Want You Near Me
    T15 Love Thing

Private Dancer to get the boot.

My final would have been Better Be Good To Me and River Deep Mountain High with the latter taking the win.

No Private Dancers allowed (as "Motorcycles not allowed")

DQ: it is a very likely pair.

BDQ: no, only on dvd (Live in Rio can make a tv set explode...)

Never seen Tina in convert sadly.

Voted for "Private Dancer" ("What's Love" for the win!)

My final two would have been "What's Love" and "Typical Male".
Tina has been to NZ on multiple tours, but I've never seen her. I remember she did a show in Auckland (at Mt Smart Stadium) in December 1985, which was possibly her first time in NZ (at a time when A list artists didn't often do dates here). I remember thinking how cool it was that she was in my hometown (hey, I was 12).

"What's Love" beating any of these: "Rain," "River Deep." "Hero."

    I've never seen Tina live.

DQ: I would have "Better Be Good To Me" edging "I Can't Stand The Rain."

BDQ: Never saw Tina in concert, and don't remember her ever being close enough (Little Rock or Tulsa would be likely places) that I would have considered it. She may well have been there, and just didn't hear about it.

"Better Be Good to Me" and "Stay Together", with a "Good" win...

Ha - Joey throws me a bone! :D

    Saw Tina four times, IIRC:

    1984: opening for Lionel Richie
    1985: headliner
    1987: headliner
    2008: headliner

    Heard all except:

I Don't Want To Lose You
    It Takes Two
    Be Tender With Me Baby
    I Want You Near Me
    Love Thing

It was the least I could do. And never let it be said Joey Self didn't do the least he could...

"Private Dancer" waltzed off the stage, making

WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT

The Strongest Link on SIMPLY THE BEST.

I don't have real strong feelings on any of these, but of the ones I know, I'd have had "Better Be Good To Me" winning over "What's Love Got To Do With It".
