I recently hooked my home theater back up after a move out of state. I have two amps; one running my front speakers & a second amp running my center & surround speakers. They are both plugged into the same power strip/surge protector, however my 3 channel amp has a hum it never had previously. It's a low hum that fluctuates in volume. What would be the best and/or simplest way to solve this annoyance?

Thanks in advance for all suggestions!

Use a cheater plug for the hummer. The system is grounded thru the non hummer. If the cheater plug won't work, you'll have to roll up your DIY sleeves. Try it & report back.

Are you sure its not something wrong with the electronics in the amp?

    No, I doubt it.

That is my first plan of attack.
