Songs That Seem To Begin "Off-Beat"

I can think of a few songs that at least to me, sound like they begin on the off beat:

The Stones' Street Fighting Man, The Who Amazing Journey......probably more that I can't remember right now....

Anyone else?

"Trouble" by Keith Richards. And it annoys the hell out of me.

Beatles: She's a Woman

Although the trick with She's a Woman is that it appears to begin on the 'on' beat and only after the band comes in do we realize that we've been tricked. Very clever actually.

 

'Start me up' by the stones

 

Led Zeppelin Rock and Roll - Drum intro is in an odd meter which makes it you to anticipate the guitar entrance.

 

Kiss - "Calling Dr. Love" has the beat sort of turned around during the intro.

 

"Get It Hot" from Highway to Hell by AC/DC always throws me off. . . and I'm a drummer!

 

Since You're Gone - The Cars.
The clap/tap sound is actually the off beat not the one.

I know the intro is fine, but I can't help but hear it the wrong way and the intro appears to me to gain an extra beat at around 10 secs in.

 

Keep It Dark and Abacab by Genesis, maybe? Is that what you're after?

 

The Beatles, "I Want to Tell you." Not sure if this fits the thread topic, but i love the way it starts, can't tell where the beat's going to land.

 

The opening time signature throws you off with the heavy drums by Bonham

 

"Live with Me" by the Stones.
