Interested in Disraeli Gears (I have the 2007 Lithium import already), but is it worth the €30?

Website sold out on all the titles I looked up.

Yes, very quickly and understandably at those prices - it does say 'notify me when back in stock' on each title so perhaps they may get more in at that price, worth finding out...

It is very good but that price is excessive. Only you can answer that question.

One thing i havent been that impressed with for these reissues is Optimal's job of pressing them. Ive bought four of them and they have all had noise to varying degrees...mainly 'swooshing' noise (no-fill?) and its a little disappointing...theyve not exactly been dead quiet on my copies...

As a Free fan you might be aware of the new vinyl boxset that is getting rave reviews for sound quality........

What would the options be if you want a copy of this album?

Not part of the original series, but I've just received the Abba Arrival 2LP 45rpm half-speed - sadly, I didn't have time to spin it as I had to come straight to work after the delivery - it looks the bizz though.

Really? I've been reading that thread and don't get that impression. The pressings seem a bit low quality and the actual sound is reported to be ok to good by one or two people, which is hardly 'rave reviews'. Wouldn't ant anyone buying that set based on what may not be a true picture.

Ghost In The Machine sounds amazing, but I don't have a original , and I hear that sounds great as well, so I can't say if it's a improvement.

    2. Original UK mono
    3. 2007 Lithium mono
    4. 2016 mono.
I bought the 2016 mono yesterday for €15, I have yet to give it a spin.

What's this 2016 mono you speak of? And the 2007 Lithium mono? I'm all for trying to pick up any of the copies you suggest. The problem is I don't live in an area where good vintage copies are available.

Why not read what the mastering engineer said about the process he used?

It does! I pulled out my original and gave it a listen when I saw this one coming out. I saw no reason to hope for a substantial upgrade.

Thanks. Didn't scroll down that far. Thought there would be a press release somewhere like for the first six.

I ordered the Amy Winehouse one from WhatRecords for £21.99, cheapest I've seen so far. High hopes for this as the last pressing I ended up returning due to constant noise, was a terrible pressing.

The new releases don't appear to be the continuation of the premium 'Abbey Road' half speed reissues. Look like cash grab multi discs with the usual superfluous demos. Only reason I see for getting the Winehouse is the non album singles but it is reputed to be a bad recording in any case. Live At Leeds is the exception as it's the whole concert and I bagged it for £12.99. Others such as Mike Oldfield, Marvin Gay I would say get the original album.
