I just came across these guys and holy crap are they good. I bought "A Rose in a Garden of Weeds" but does anyone know if their original albums are in print? All I can find is CD copies for around a $100 bucks.
I don't know about the availability of the older albums, but they did release a new one less than a year ago. https://www.amazon.com/Intimately-Among-Friends-Translucent-Download/dp/B00XWSL8DA
They have a new (and very limited) live CD recorded in Dublin in 2011. Just released and also very limited: "Almond Tea" on vinyl. Thanks, I'll watch out for this. Just ordered the reissue of Almond Tea. Don't think they'll be around for long.

Yes, Thomas, the leader and lead vocalist is a member here. Not sure about Steve mastering any of their releases?
Pugwash is a great Irish band in the tradition of XTC, ELO, Beatles, Brian Wilson melodic, quirky, intelligent, alternative pop. The XTC connection is very strong, as they were on Andy Partridge's APE label for a couple albums and he cowrote a few songs with their lead singer/songwriter, Thomas Walsh. Jeff Lynne from ELO even sings on their most recent album and is a big fan. For any fan of the above mentioned artists, Pugwash really does scratch that itch for that kind of sounds, song and feeling. I'm glad to see them get some notice on this forum.
Gotta think at some point the entire catalog would be getting reissues on CD. I bought the Almond Tea vinyl and it's great but I can't listen to it outside of my house. Would love to hear their entire discography.
I was hoping that Omnivore, who released the 'A Rose in a Garden of Weeds' comp, would follow up with album reissues. Sadly, so far, nothing.
That's what frustrates me with Pugwash.. their back catalog is hard to find so when you actually do find something on Ebay or whatever it's very expensive. I'm willing to spend money on 'em when the reissues start happening.
