Engeneers challenge to absorb vertical, horizontal and rotational vibration to play vinyl in a shaky rural railway.

My Japanese is a bit rusty, but the photo of the two Japanese gentlemen (engineers?) starring at the cartridge is priceless.

Plus I am always amazed to realize that people successfully solve problems I didn't know existed.

This reminds me of the old Lyle Lovett song:

    If I had a boat
I'd go out on the ocean
And if I had a pony
I'd ride him on my boat
    And we could all together
    Go out on the ocean
Me upon my pony on my boat

And the next verse involving Tonto is even better. Planning for the day when it becomes my life's motto.

I like the ribbon bow looking isolation feet they came up with. Looks strangely like the reverse of the solution DJs came up with for technics turntables at clubs -- ashtrays wrapped with rubber bands.h
