    I think many here have been waiting for a film like this one. I personally think that Jarmusch is a perfect choice for this project. He and James have worked together many time over the years.

    At first look, I thought Jarmusch was doing a documentary on THE THREE STOOGES!!!

    I also had a vision of a SNL sketch;
    "Jim Jarmusch's "The Three Stooges":
    Moe, Larry & Curley are just standing around for an hour-and-a-half!

    A very good interview by Movie Critic Peter Howell in today's Toronto Star.
    Also, Mr. Howell's review of Gimme Danger.

    That actually sounds like a more interesting documentary. How many rock star docs do we need? I'd rather hear about the sordid personal lives of Larry, Moe and Curly. Shemp's story might actually be more fascinating than Iggy's!

    Then you want this, from a family perspective. And it includes clips from all 190 shorts, not just the standard public domain clips.

    As for the documentary on The Stooges I hear there is a great Moe Howard story involved with the group!

    I saw this today. It's probably light on any serious revelations but the footage of the Stooges in action and the interviews are well worth it. They were so cool. See it!

    Sometimes it can be a long wait... so many music related docs I want that were only ever seen by festival audiences or art cinemas in very large cities.

    DVD. I reviewed it and thought it was entertaining but frustrating:

    Honestly, this is a film I doubt would really benefit from Blu-ray. The only high-quality footage comes from modern-day interviews, and do we really need to see circa 2016 Iggy in hi-def? :D

    The music might benefit from lossless, but I doubt it, mainly because interviews became the emphasis. This isn't a program to play to enjoy the music, as we just get snippets without much more on display...
