The wife does allow this ( cuz I'm hanging it) "Fast Mick" by Rod Organ( artist now deceased) bought from the artist.
Lovely print! Mick Doohan is an absolute legend... Rode that lightweight, 2 stroke 500cc Honda NSR500 with well over 200 hp to 5 consecutive World Championships. He was the hero of my childhood.
My Naim based system with recently added Sopra 2's... about 100 hours into the break in and starting to really come on song...
Those are some beautiful speakers. How do they work in a room of that size? Looks like a nearfield setup.
I have them on demo at the moment... for that very concern... but they won't be going back that is for sure. The room is technically speaking an acoustical nightmare... 15 x 15 with 9 foot ceilings. That said, with the room treatments I think the space sounds excellent despite technical limitations, and the speakers sound amazing... not overpowering.... although there are limits to how loud I would push them in this space.
It's an imitation Eames from Rove Concepts... Indistinguishable from the real thing for about 1/3 the price.
I had a 11 x 11 with 9 foot ceilings and using 2k worth of bass traps and wall panels really helped the room
We moved into this house last summer... so long before the move had dimensioned up the room and then worked with a Toronto area sound guy to figure out how best to treat the room prior to moving in.
I'm thinking with set up like that and that close of a range...Phil could drop a bomb and there wouldn't be a trace of any one left. Awesome.
I played hooky from work today to enjoy the new additions and take the pics and I can assure you many Phil bombs have been dropped throughout the day
Halloween time! This is pretty much it for living room. I'll probably add the other Sunfire in here ( sounds awesome now with a proper rectangle room). Now back to the other small room. Peace
Glad to hear they're working for you there. My room is a near perfect square also, and I found a diagonal setup was the only way I could get decent sound. After setting speakers diagonally and working with bass traps and left over absorption panels, I feel I'm hearing the best sound I've ever had. I've become a bit of a zealot on this.
Just came back downstairs after listening to Vienna Teng - Waking Hour; sounds amazing in my square room.
