Refried Beats in Toronto closing at the end of July

In case anyone is customer but hadn't heard...confirmed by the workers.

The area is being redeveloped so they have to move out and there are no plans to open elsewhere.

That's one less used CD store in the city to sell to and buy from. I'll be giving away my cds at this rate when I go to downsize!

 

That seems to be the way of the world, unfortunately.

 

Oh man that sucks...I used to go there often when I worked in Toronto a few times a month.

 

Used to be multiple places within a stone's throw...Monster Records, CD Cat, Refried Beats...Now all gone...

 

Yeah, circa 2002? I remember CD Cat - it had a sister store across the street at one point, Mad CDs? Neither was particularly great. I do miss Monster Records, it usually had rarer vinyl. Refried Beats was great for DVDs.
