Oh yes of course. It's the other way around. I like both 12 inches though but you're absolutely right.
I searched Dave but couldn't find this one listed, Had troubles photographing it, highly reflective Peter Schilling-A Different Story (Long Version), 1989
Thomas Dolby-My Brain Is Like a Sieve (Instrumental), 1989: This is the 12 inch extended Instrumental
The sound of these Simple Minds 12"s from Sparkle In The Rain are so much better than the flattened lp versions. Unfortunately, good uploads of these are impossible to find on YouTube. Here's one, but you have to turn it wayyyy up at the very beginning. You'll miss the bang! if you don't. It was fun to see people dancing from the beginning of the song saying "Turn it up!" Ok, I did, and then, a few seconds later kablaam! and huge shocked smiles. Good memories.
Every single extended mix Prince released in the 80's ever! Especially Little Red Corvette, Mountains, Erotic City, She's Always In My Hair, and Hot Thing
They have too many to pick one favorite but this is one great song. I always end up listening to the Parisian Mix.
Not sure if it's on here pages back, but the extended mix of Shout! by Depeche Mode is great. It's almost like a part two with some catchy Vince synth riffs, none of which are heard on the 7" version.
Really, that's weird.... Anyway, great 12", I love that part 2, coming after the well-known version. I also have that on vinyl.
Shame the uploader left it up and never fixed it, sounds like he has some sibilance issues, apparent on his Icehouse also
Richie Havens – Going Back To My Roots (Original version - Lamont Dozier 1977) Other cover versions have had a wider appeal (chart success) notably Odyssey and The FPI Project but I have always liked this version. Credit to the uploader ‘dertaubedj'
