Some great photos. A turntable in action is a beautiful sight, but then I'm a bit nerdy when it comes to that kind of thing.

Currently using a Stanton 681 EEE MKII with the SL-1200 MKII. The preamp I built myself, cause that's the kind of thing I do for a living.

Do you have the McIntosh (Clearaudio Talismann) cartridge installed on yours? I just put one of the McIntosh branded ClearAudio Talismann's on my MT-5 and (after breaking it in for a few hours) am really enjoying it. Tracks perfectly too!

It'll serve you well, and with care, I believe it'll go longer than 6 more yrs. I bought mine as a demonstrator at a PLAYBACK store in 1975 or '76. I had to replace the patch cords a few yrs ago, and that's all.

I actually stumbled upon another 1900 on EBAY this summer for $59, thinking of it as a parts unit. It was disclosed as not working and didn't have the head shell nor dust cover, and the cueing performance was not damped at all. Cosmetically, it was at least an 8/10.

Well, I sought some videos and photos, was able to score the proper silicone at a hobby shop, and accomplished the repair without issue. I had an extra head shell, mounted a cart, and took it for a spin. It operates flawlessly!

Therefore, if you need to fix the cueing system on your treasure, with some patience and diligence, you can get it working right again.

    All the best,
    GT

Yes. I've been messing around with VTA and the anti-skate lately due to curiosity and some problems with sibilance. So I still got a bit of tweeking to do before I'm "in the zone". :)
