Inspired by another thread, I'm interested in suggestions of the best lesser known Kinks songs. I'm a fan who pretty much knows all the "big hits" but have never dug too deep into their catalog. What specific deep cuts (individual songs) would you recommend?

Too many to list really. Just pick up Kink Kronikles for a whole bunch.

Shangri-la is probably the single greatest deep cut.

    This Time Tomorrow
    I'm Not Like Everybody Else
    Have a Cuppa Tea
    Strangers

... oh man, forget picking & choosing. Go straight to "Face to Face" and work your way backwards and forwards through it all.

Virtutally every song from 1967-78 is lesser known, and most of 'em are great.

But ok, my top picks: "No More Looking Back," "Sweet Lady Genevieve" and "Got My Feet On the Ground."

"I Need You". Maybe not a lesser known song but it's a stellar B-side track. Too bad this one was not on one of the albums. Definitely in my top 5-10 fav Kinks songs

It might be easier to list the very few Kinks songs I don't like!

I just listened to a handful of these tracks. So far I love David Watts and I Need You the most, but I haven't heard all these great suggestions yet. I think my tastes lean towards the more rock oriented songs, as opposed to the more folky types, if that helps.

Lots of great suggestions. Thanks to all. Please keep them coming!
