One of the greatest albums ever made - but you might not know it

We are all familiar with "the greatest albums of all time" but there are many that never make those journalist assembled lists. I begin with this fabulous Bobby Bland album.

Incredible album, a fantastic piece of work.
The songwriting, the singing, the musicianship...

 

Worth the price of admission if only for "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City". My favorite latter day album by him.

Terry Allen is God

 

That BB album is amazing. I have some other stuff by him, and a lot of it is good to great, but he really knocked it out of the park with that one. Great album. I think the reason more people don't talk about it is because it hasn't had a recent high profile reissue. When I bought it on CD a few years ago I had to get an import copy as there was no domestic in-print version except a "CD-R on Demand" thing. A lot of his Duke-era catalog is OOP as well, at least if you are looking for something that isn't poor quality needledrops from a Euro public-domain label.
