He is on tour in Japan with Dokken so he is probably miserable.

in case no one got the joke. since 2003 lynch has released with various bands studio albums:
    wicked under ground
    revolution
    smoke and mirrors
    sun red sun
    rebel
    furious george
    orchestral mayhem
    kill all control
    shadow train
    let the truth be known
    slave to the empire
    kxm
    only to rise

that's a heck of a lot of material in the last 13 years

I haven't really followed him since Wicked Sensation, but I love him and his older stuff to death. This is one of my favorites.

Agreed. Whenever he releases something new, there are always samples of the highlights and it is generally good. However, I typically don't find many of the releases in question consistently good, and therefore rarely acquire any of the albums.

I loved his work with Dokken and liked the first two Lynch Mob albums. I still listen to the Dokken stuff every now and then but I've mostly moved on from that style of music. I haven't bought anything new by him since his first solo album but still consider him as one of my top 2-3 favorite guitar players ever.

I never have listened to Lynch in Dokken. Never paid much attention to him, there are so many shredder-types out there. But I also hang around The Gear Page and everybody over there worships him. Someone posted the following clip in a thread:

And then I saw the light. He is super, super talented. Top of the food chain.

nah, tt was a Univox Les Paul Jr. copy that actually sounded really good, and if i remember thru the haze of time, he heard either myself or someone else playing it thru the walls of a rehearsal room and liked the sound.....and heck, i need the dough!!!!! I didn't know who he was at the time anyway....

I highly recommend the two CD set he released last year called Shadow Train.

Just to add to the prior list:
    2012 George Lynch Legacy EP
2012 Lynch Mob Sound Mountain Sessions EP
    2016 Lynch Mob Rebel

Some of these side project collaborations can be mediocre, but his own led projects like Souls of We, Shadow Train and Lynch Mob are usually strong.

Had the chance to do the VIP meet and greet during Smoke and Mirrors and had a kick hanging out with everyone.

Missed you listing of Rebel and forgot they added the Sound Mountain Sessions to Red Sun Red. I didn't care for SRS since I had SMS already. I may have to revisit his cover of Burnin' Sky which was the highlight for me.

Come to think of it there was also the side project T&N (Tooth and Nail). Half Dokken remakes with Pilson and half new material. I think he has a second followup already in the can, but hasn't been released yet. Wonder why.
