Let It Be. It's a song that would sound just as powerful with just a piano and voice.

It's got to be a song with piano. So let's have "The Lovers That Never Were" for a change.

I think that he should cover 'Start!'. A part of me thinks that he could handle the bass part for some reason. :D

Of course, the regulars in the pub will be rolling their eyes and moaning,'Oh no, he's not singing THAT again! I wish someone would ask him to play "Little Lamb Dragonfly"!'

He should adapt that to suit the context and earn his keep:

    'There is a fine wine
    For any kind of diner
    It's about time
You understood which grape to take
    It's a fine wine
When your drinking makes a difference
Get it wrong, you'll be making a big mistake'

I never said or implied it had to be a McCartney song. In fact, it was Kisses on the Bottom that started my idea and conversation with my wife about how it would be cool to walk into a piano bar and hear Paul singing those old classic songs. I thought it was great when Paul did the Lennon medley in concert when I saw him a long time ago.
Now the folks who list a whole set miss the point. There are other fans sitting around the piano who have a request too. It's not a concert and Paul is politely doing a song for each of us. I'm not sure how much we should tip him though.

I'd certainly give him a tip: 'Get your hair sorted out, drink some water and look after your voice. Oh yes, and beware of table 9, it's Phil Collins and he's already complained about the chef, the waiter and the size of his chair'.

I think he'd rather get some loose change.

If he's at the piano. A rousing version of "Lady Madonna" would be very fine indeed!

    Yes. You're almost certainly correct.

  25. Changes, Black Sabbath from Vol. 4 , not the Kelly Osbourne version! :yikes:
