Yes, there will be a "Sharknado 5"

...because of course.

The Asylum announced today that the next film in the saga will be titled "Sharknado 5... Earth 0."

From the looks of the poster, it would appear that the Sharknado phenomenon has gone global.

So, how will this advance the narrative of Sharknado 4?

 

They have now surpassed Jaws in sequels and still haven't "jumped the shark"!

 

That's actually a pretty clever nod to the original working title of Jaws 3 which was "Jaws 3, People 0".

I hope they do one of these in old-school red/blue glasses 3-D.

Watch it, it's hilarious like the first three, and the end is way over the top.
I don't understand why the Sharknado films always get dissed, but I think it's
mainly from those who have never watched any of them. The way they satirize other
disaster films, and the number of celebrity cameos in each of them (i.e. Ann Coulter
as the president, Robert Hays as the airline pilot in the second one, etc) make them
fun to watch. Plus they usually die in some shark related death.

The thing I admire about these films is that they are impervious to criticism. There really isn't anything you can say. It simply is what it is whether you like it or not.

I hope they make 20 more of these and I hope they get even sillier then they already are.
