    As the title implies.

Looking for successful experiences you might have had driving these wee BBC-type monitors using solid-state integrated amp(s). Cheers!

Hate being a broken record, but the Yamaha A-SXXXX series was so good with the LS50's. Can't imagine it wouldn't be a good match here. "Free" to try through Crutchfield

Could you be a little more explicit with the model #? :)

Never mind, I think I have it -- the series starting with A-S301, A-S501 etc.

<$3k, tops. But particularly interested in <$1.5k area (new).

    Yes, I'm waffling.

No, sorry. I was running the AS-2000. I was attempting to refer to that amp or the AS-1000, AS-21000, etx

I know, it's mosfet amp with two preamp tubes but seriously.... check out the Croft Integrated.

    Exposure.

    Cambridge Audio.

The new Peachtree Nova 150 is getting rave reviews. They're sold out for now, they can't keep them in stock.

    Dayens Menuetto.

There are some freakishly good integrateds for under two grand these days. Makes spending more.... questionable.

I'm hoping for a home demo of the Exposure 3010 in the next week or so. The same amp that I heard my LS3/5's driven by in the shop, in fact.

Prepare for a bunch of answers from people telling you to buy the amp they have. Me included. I'll second the Yamaha's because I love my AS-801. And it's way under your budget. You can paypal me the difference.

Well, I'm okay with that as long as they've heard their amp driving the speaker(s) I specified. ;)

I've been looking for one, periodically -- that'd likely be perfect (really popular with Harbeth P3ESR people) -- but no luck, recently. Seems people are hanging on to them?

Would $2,600 be too much for a used LE V?

I've read some reviews of Dayens now -- sounds like they have the Rega Brio-R in their sights (as does Heed and their Elixir).

An abundance of power will help tremendously with the dynamics of these inefficient smaller monitors. If you have to go "solid state" the Parasound integrated is the class of sub $3K solid state amps. Smooth sound yet detailed and transparent. Mr. Schramm and Mr. Curl know what they are doing.
The last one I heard at my dealer was driving some Apogee panel speakers. It sounded phenomenally open and natural. They are in high demand and rightfully so.
