Pretty sure this is the 2010 Legacy remaster which has a good reputation. Reasonably priced at $29.99 for 2 lps; limited to 2000 copies.

Based on how it went with the purple vinyl version of AYE, I wouldn't be surprised to see this one sell out relatively quickly.

I guess it didn't sell out fast, as evidenced by the markdown..

They do...but I note the shipping cost would be USD$14. Out the door would be about CAD$53 plus any fees at the border. It appears available on Amazon Canada at CAD$32 (free shipping at $35, two LPs, etc etc), not the blue version though. Would there be a difference in quality given the lack of blue pressing? Perhaps the value is more centered on the limited blue version per se. I've been looking to buy this album. I just checked Amazon USA and the double LP is US$18.99!

Yes, the blue version is priced higher because it is a limited edition. The standard black pressing should sound the same, or at least as good as the colored version, as long as the mastering is the same which I think it is. I've never seen any reference to better sound attributed to colored vinyl. Some people think colored vinyl is not as durable but I don't have an opinion on this.

You answered your own question. If you don't want the blue vinyl you can get it anywhere

The orange mono ABAL didn't sell out either. This was released a year earlier to ELL and yet Axis has not seen a price drop.
The ELL current price is a bargain.

Probably not today, but back in the 70's it was thought that colored vinyl was better because it was usually virgin vinyl, whereas black vinyl often wasn't.

Yes, another price drop to $21.99- just a few bucks more than the standard black pressing.

I grabbed Axis during their 30% off sale awhile back.

Anyone have this? I'm guessing the show is good (I'll check it out on youtube), but what about the pressing?

Still a great price on that - just picked up both EL & ABOL and the shipping to the UK is very reasonable too, well worth making a move for those - thanks for the recommendation!
