Is everyone else's overseas CD orders taking forever to arrive??

It seems like my eBay and Amazon 3rd party CD orders from overseas are taking abnormally long to arrive. I waited for one order from a UK seller for a month 1/2 and it never arrived.

 

I've had most recent UK orders arrive in Texas in a week or so. However another recent order took about a month. It especially sucks when there's no tracking.

I've had some show up within a week and others disappear. The U.S. Mail system lately sucks. I would pay more for tracking.

 

I've had two recent orders go missing. One order from Chicago that I'm still waiting for after 4 weeks...shipping from there usually takes a week or so. Another from Europe that I ordered in October and that still isn't here. I don't think that counts as a pattern, but it is weird, since I've never previously had something get "lost in the mail," except for one package from Italy that (I suspect) was never actually sent.

 

Right now I'm waiting on one from Japan and one from the Netherlands.

 

Around the holidays this was a bit,of a problem last year but this year it started well before the holidays. I've only had one order completely vanish before. This theme two within the same month and, possibly a third.

I can only think that there's either more theft going on or mis deliveries or both. Perhaps it's sheer incompetence.

Shipments from Amazon.uk (not marketplace sellers) on Nov. 3 and 7 have still not arrived here on the west coast.

 

Not in my case. Two were from Amazon directly and the third was from Proper Music. Never had a problem to this degree before.

 

I basically have the same experience with Japan shipping as with UK shipping. Some take a week and some a month or more. Even using the same shipping method.

I'm sure USPS, like other shipping companies hire a lot of temp workers this time of year. Some of them couldn't give a crap about doing their job properly since they won't have one come January. Trust me, I've seen this many times.

In recent years, at least for us, it's been the opposite experience—Royal Mail packages, which were already arriving within two weeks, were being delivered even more promptly during the holiday season.

This year…there's clearly something happening over a wide geographical area.

 

Uh huh,probably being held up in US customs because of Christmas overload.I`m sure it will arrive soon.Not like the mess up with my grail record last year.It was sorted to the wrong state after circling the region and dropping off the radar.Two months later it did show up!
of course I sent full payment again to the seller after I was refunded by ebay when it went missing.
I have on the way,one record from the Netherlands,One from Poland,One from Japan,and one from Virginia,wich is the one I`m most concearned about!

 

Have still not arrived. Amazon.uk resent everything UPS Priority. At this point I doubt the original shipments will arrive, but you never know.

 

Ironically, I just ordered a case for a small bluetooth speaker and it came from China in about a week. Amazon said it's not expected for a few more weeks.

 

Everything is choked up in Customs right now. I've been waiting since Nov. 1 for a small audio card for my PC and a CD since Nov. 11th from Lithuania has hit the wind. This is what happens when you take very efficient goobermint owned necessities and make worse than feeble excuses that it isn't making enough $'s when in fact it is the only one making a profit consistently. Selling us out... er I mean privatization isn't working so well for the end user.

 

I am having a problem with one order from Germany, and I am afraid that another one from South Korea might become problematic. These orders seem to be getting stuck at the origin post is preparing shipment stage. One has been stuck in that status for almost a month.

 

I`m waiting on Poland,Spain,UK,& Canada.& that's more than I`ve I`ve been waiting for for months now.Customs must just be overloaded.

 

November 14th, I ordered some Bear Family titles direct from Bear. As of 11/28 they were "ready for shipment to your country". Then nothing. I assume they'll get here sooner or later.

 

I just received an Amazon.uk order that took 2 months to arrive.
