I can't post the pic, but google it. It is the winner. Don't look if you are easily offended.

That seal-headed guy was always a dodgy mascot, but you gotta give 'em credit for originality!

I vote Cloud Nine by George Harrison. It looks so cheesy and dated and just plain cheap

No kidding. Beyond odd, truly bizarre if you ask me. And I say that as a major Stones fan, for at least 40 years.

Here's even more evidence of absolute cluelessness about what makes a good cover:

I'm bumping this because it wins. Sorry I can't post the image. It is too disturbing.

There should be categories really, just like most awards such as Grammys.

"Unfinished Business" probably takes the cake as most offensively bad on this thread, though I would guess that that is precisely what they were going for.

For hilariously bad, I'm sticking with Stew Mac's "Bustin' Nutz". They were probably going for that as well, and they hit it out of the park.

I would like to focus on really lame, where the producers thought they were actually trying to make a good album cover and apparently had no clue whatsoever what a good album cover would be.

I stayed away from foreign releases, private presses, southern gospel, and hip-hop
since this page can be filled up fast by all four categories quite easy.

This is a great album. I can't stand the cover, though.

I've known the artist Mike Diana for a really long time. A documentary is currently in production about him. He is the first person to ever be convicted and imprisoned on art obscenity charges in the US. I've got some of his original old 'zines and a tshirt somewhere.
