The shotgun guitar

My pal Reverend Peyton had a 3 string guitar made out of a shotgun. Here he is playing and firing it.

 

Now that's cool. He should have got up onstage with Morphine for a tune or two with that thing. Two of those things and you've literally got a "twin guitar attack"

 

Yeah, it's not really a guitar, as it doesn't have a fretboard. More of a "hillbilly shamisen".

 

In that case, more of a "shogun guitar"...

 

They're calling it a "guit-gun" but maybe "guntar" would be better?

Loved the Ham Can guitar in the video. Hopefully those will be mass-produced and made available through Guitar Center.

But seriously, folks... John Cipollina used to use Hoppe's #9 to oil his guitar strings (he said it worked, and had the added benefit of making his guitar smell like a gun). Looks like this fellow could use the same stuff!

Always loved Roy Orbison's guit-gun from the film "The Fastest Guitar Alive." Perhaps this inspired Ted Nugent's design?
