Rogue Audio Ares Tube rolling

I just recently picked up a Rogue Audio Ares second hand...and my first thought was tube rolling.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also at the risk of sounding like a *******...which tube section is the input and which are the secondary? Can't find it labeled or in the manual.

 

Looking from the front of the unit rearward, the 12AX7 (input) tubes are located in the front. 12AU7 (secondary) are located in the back set of sockets.

I've found that if the stage is set for an MM cartridge, and you need a little more gain, the 12AT7 is a perfect replacement for the 12AU7's.
