Seriously? Even though I'm not really a fan I did like some of his songs. He was a talented guy. This year just doesn't quit. RIP George. 53 is way way to young. Was he sick?

Must have been creating threads at the same time, sure the Gorts will merge. I know he had been unwell previously but this comes as another huge shock. What a year. :shake:

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I was never a fan per se, but 1987/88 was my year in 6th grade and I grew to like the hits from his Faith album...all because of a certain girl.

    May he rest in peace.

Nothing had been heard from him for quite a long time. No new music, not even any news.

I was never a fan but he was a very accomplished songwriter and a grafter. A tragically early age to go.

    This.

Seems strange to "like" this, but I agree with everything you said, so I like it in that respect.

This year is a joke. A bad joke.

Maybe now that he's passed, people will finally acknowledge what an incredible singer he was (and - for a period anyhow - a great pop songwriter as well).

And especially ironic to pass away on the day that his most famous song is about.

Like a couple others have mentioned, not a fan per se, but he was extremely talented. Very sorry to hear this. RIP George Michael.
