The A1 B1 (actually) 'strawberry' vinyl is hard to find. Just don't tell me you haven't got the 1u 1u porky press UK first issue Extra Texture vinyl :)

No, my Extra Texture is a US Apple original. Why, is the UK Porky worth it?

You must have an earlier version of that album. Because everyone else has Ringo The Fourth... ;)

I told you not to tell me that.....:D

Yes Yes Yes. The UK is Extra smooth. You can hear the ambience and warmth in the opening acoustic guitars on The Answers At The End, and there's off mike voices can be heard after Jesse Ed Davis's slide guitar swells on This Guitar. I don't know if the cd remasters capture this, but if you've got a turntable set up, the Uk porky is as close to sound perfection as you'll get from this wonderful lp!!!

Wasn't the US pressing mastered at A&M in LA, where it was also recorded?

I thought all the Apple masters went to the UK. I'd love to know if the US is direct from the master tapes?

Wow! Only $466. Really? But on the positive side, the albums will be released individually (at least according to the listings on the George Harrison Amazon page. It will be a good way for me to replace the two I've lost (Electronic Sound and Wonderwall).

I thought they said Cloud 9 was going to be a picture disc? That's just the standard Got My Mind Set On You pic disc from 1987...

  21. They haven't said anything.

True, "they" never did, but the info was linked in post #1 of this thread, and that source seemed to have pretty much everything else right...

So no vynil for the extra songs released on the cd's? Thats a bummer. And I think they should have included Best of Dark Horse Years aswell.

If you purchase all 13 of the re-released titles individually, it totals $358.74. The cost of the box is $466.98, so that means for an additional $108.24, you get the box, book (still included?, it's not pictured), and two pictures discs.
