And how exactly is that a release on a major record label?

Had never heard of these guys and bought on a whim. Most of the album was like Alice in Chains, maybe STP etc.... Lot of great rocking tunes...

Wow. What a diverse, talented band. Straight out rock down to 3 piece jazz and everything in between.

I have this! "House on Fire" was a minor top 40 hit here. Never bought it at the time, got the album for £1 years later.

Long dead band from Derby, UK. Kinda indie/prog/jazz/metal....not a huge fan of the vocals but the band are excellent!

I had Ever Since I Was A Kid way back when. Picked it up when I saw Protein open for Les Claypool. After finding some stuff on YouTube, it's not really what I expected. At the time, I recall thinking their music was "of a like mind" to Les Claypool but I only hear it in places. Still remember their set being pretty solid, though.

Yes, I made the mistake of getting the remasters. HORRIFIC. And I'm not the sound-freak many of you are, so just imagine that if *I* listened to this and thought it sounded HORRIFIC, how it would sound to most of you. I rank these remasters as the very worst sounding things I've ever bought.

Here is one of my favorite hard rock albums of the 90's that came and went very quickly. This video got maybe 3 weeks of once-in-a-great-while overnight airplay on MTV. I felt bad for the singer/guitarist because he had suffered a similar fate with his '91 Epic Records band The Lost(brief MTV airplay with "Mindblower"). [IMG] [IMG]

    Here's my offering:

Inclined: Bright New Day. Slightly off-kilter funk-tinged guitar rock, maybe with a bit of Southern-fried goodness for flavor.

I found my copy in a big bargain-bin sale at Zia Records in, I don't know, 1993, 1994? It was one of those albums that had always caught my eye but I never wanted to take a chance on, but at $1 or so, I couldn't pass it up. I ended up loving it, and many others I played it for also loved it. Still, I saw this in the bargain sections at $1 for ages and ages. Probably still can find a copy or two in every used store. Funny enough, a year or two after finding this album, I found their Sifter EP at one of these sales. Never seen another copy. Even Discogs doesn't list it, which I find very strange. The band must have some kind of following because they got back together a few years back and released a new album, but I still have yet to run into anyone else who has a clue who they are. (The band leader, Miles Om Tackett, is also leader of the funk band Breakestra, which may be familiar to some.)

Aldo Nova, Blood on the Bricks. Saw them open up for the Scorpions along with Great White. Must have thought they were pretty good because I bought the CD. It was pretty bad.

Oh my god! That Butt Trumpet record was a staple for about 3 months of my teenage life. Surprisingly good drumming on that record. Everything else not so much hahaha.

I am a House of Love fanatic. I remember that album being released to zero fanfare. I bought it and I could see why. It's terrible. I was so sad they ditched their signature sound. I tried to give it another chance a few years ago and I think it was still a no go for me. Luckily their reunion albums were great.
