Grace Slick images

Someone once said to me about her 'look' at Woodstock: "She's looking at something 3 miles away..............in close up."

 

This is one of my favorite Airplane viddys. From 1:29-1:35 the band splits into a 6 over 4 thing and of course Grace lights up with an amazing smile while Marty looks back as if to say "what the heck is going on back there?"

 

Unfortunately, we're losing a few of the images.

You know that Grace Slick is an icon when teenage girls that have no recollection of the 2oth century, let alone dreck like "We Built This City" are interested in her

 

Boy, over the knee boots were not common in '68, IIRC Maybe even a little risque

 

Just having fun with our tendency to observe audio components when the intended subject is quite different...

She's still got that twinkle in her eye.

 

She really looks like Linda Ronstadt.

 

Back in the 70's, I would pick Linda over Grace any day of the week:

This thread had a nice run. Too bad it went astray with the Linda Ronstadt competition.
