Lotus was also released in Australia right back in the day, my big brother was a Santana fan and played it to death. So for me this was my introduction to Santana, and for money, its way better than his studio albums.

Seems strange that it didn't get a US release until the 90s. What did you americans think of this album, nearly 20 years after it was originally released? Was there lots of excitement? Or had Carlos fallen off the map?

All I know, my LP (which I 'liberated' from my brother) is over 40 years old and a bit the worse for wear. A SACD would be mighty welcome.
