Man, my mother is almost 91 and she has gone from a super smart lady to a (non alzeimers) half crippled woman who can't recall the words to fill a sentence. God bless you, Betty, you found some kind of magical cure.
I recently saw her in Advise and Consent. I'm so used to seeing her in comedy roles I was surprised it was she. (I initially guessed it was Jane Wyman.) She's quite good as a serious actress. (George Grizzard was pretty good too.)
I remember an episode of Petticoat Junction where Betty White played a librarian who set up a mobile library on the train. Uncle Joe had the hots for her. Wish I could find that episode somewhere.
