Stevie's Bella Donna and The Wild Heart are much better albums than Fleetwood Mac's Mirage. The band lost some of its magic after Tusk.

I love the deluxe edition with the demos and outtakes even more. I'll have to get the new Tango next as I've always wanted less produced/polished versions of it's songs the longest.

It’s a good album. I just think it’s lacking the magic of the preceding three.

The demo of That's Alright is beautiful. I prefer it to the album version.

I think you can nitpick individual albums - all of The Beatles had one or two good solo albums - but the majority of the solo albums are not in the same stratosphere as the group's albums.

Interesting how it seems that George was the biggest fan of Fleetwood Mac, as seen by the photos on page 1 of this thread of George with Stevie, and George with Lindsey, and George with Mick. I couldn't find any photos of Paul with any members, nor even Ringo.

There really is a 'yes and no' answer to this. I agree, in general, with the title of the thread. However there are many folk who think the Buckingham Nicks album was even better than their work in Mac, and I strongly suspect the new duet album from Lindsey and Christine is going to be mind blowing and very much an equal of any latter day Mac album.
However, in general they complement each other as artists and restrain the excesses, which makes for a very powerful whole.

Anytime I see a picture of Lindsey I think it's Phil from The Americans

George even guested on Mick Fleetwood's version of "Walk A Thin Line" playing slide guitar and singing backing vocals.
