Flowers in the dirt and driving rain are masterpieces and off the ground is a fun album

I love Paul, but the voice is finally showing it's age. Maybe the miracles of modern technology will help it along

Or..NEWER THAN NEW. That has a marketing snap to it.Everyone always wants the newest thing. :D

The mind boggles with bad jokes, er, I mean possibilities!

If there is a deluxe archive edition of NEW and it's remastered will it be titled NEW and IMPROVED ?

Horses for courses, as ol' Martin used to say. I love McCartney so much as a composer, performer and artist that I even sit through the worst-sounding bootlegs of studio scraps, digging for those 5 seconds of gold. But 'Flowers In The Dirt' and 'Driving Rain' are not even classics in his own catalogue.

I've got no complaints with what Paul has chosen to do especially recently, so I'm fine with Paul presenting us whatever he is passionate about.

And I hope that his album is a mix of the sound and power of "Bip Bop" and the melancholy and faint optimism of "Run Devil Run". ;)

Seriously, as long as Paul is making his best attempt at making a solid album, I'll take whatever he presents.

This reminds me of a girl that I used to know. She was a dancer. Not great, but she did okay with her left leg, and she did alright with her right leg. But she made her living in between ... :hide:

I don't, personally, but I know lots of people do. To me, the renaissance began with Flaming Pie, survived a slight hiccup with Driving Rain (there are enough good songs on the over-long CD for a strong LP), and hasn't looked back since.

By the way: What songs have been released by Paul in the last few years (post-NEW)?

    Hope For The Future
In The Blink Of An Eye

    Any others?

I think he realizes that to make an impression on the public these days, he has to give it his all and can no longer phone it in. This is probably why the last several albums have all been good to great.

And, as our good friend and spy etcetera informed us, both of these songs are based on the same unreleased 1984 song, "Kiss Me Now." I don't think there have been any other new (released) songs. Unless you count the "sound emojis."

Let's not forget the putrid "Love Song To The Earth." On second thought, let's.

Was that another musical piece in that video game (Destiny)? Or did I miss it from somewhere else?

    You asked for it!

One of those all-star (as opposed to All-Starr) affairs, which in all fairness probably disqualifies it from being any more of a "Paul" song than "Do They Know It's Christmas" or the Kanye collaborations. I think he does have a co-writing credit on this one. The motive behind it is nice, at least.

Thanks for explaining. I was only looking for Paul solo stuff, though.
