I guess the previous post on them is too old for me to reply to, so here's a new one. Just wanted to give a heads up, they've finally reissued Ohio on vinyl. Listening now...sounding nice. No idea if it's using the same stampers as the original 2003 edition or what, but it's reasonably priced and worth it if you missed out on the LP's 14 (!!) years ago. Really nice record, I think recorded all analog too. Funny, my first thread here was about this record, but it got deleted because I only had a couple posts and sounded a bit overzealous, like an Over the Rhine street teamer
I'm not a vinyl guy but I will jump in and say that Ohio is a super OtR album, one of their faves of mine along with Films for Radio. They're a super band that should get more attention than they do.
These guys are great. I don't hear much about em. Another good one I almost forgot (but this thread reminds me) is Ollabelle (Amy Helm, Levon's daughter).
OTR is responsible for one of my favorite Christmas albums, Snow Angels. Melancholy, sweet, hopeful, joyous all in one package.
I love all three of OTR's Christmas themed albums... 'Mary's Waltz' from 'The Darkest Night Of The Year' is one of the most moving songs I have ever heard.
