  4. It was a good year and I have a little more than half of those on the list, plus many others that weren't included. Crime of the Century was the album of the year for me on that list and I've several different pressings of it, but the self-titled debut by Quebec's Harmonium is my true fave of the year.

Here's an opinion: Belongs with the greats listed above. Unfortunately, it was pulled from stores soon after release, so no, obscurity instead. :shake: Badfinger 'Wish You Were Here'

We're on 4th page here already and I do not see my favorite 1974 album: Ten Years After Positive Vibrations. Strange. I guess it was viewed by many as their swan song but to me it is a great rock album. One of my favorites.

From your list, I have two:
Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
Supertramp - Crime of the Century
    But would add:
    Rush (first album)
Wings (Band on the Run - Relased in December 1973, but qualifies as a 1974 :))

    • Jackson Browne - Late For The Sky
    • Richard Betts - Highway Call
Just a couple I wanted to mention.

  17. One of my favourite years so it is real tough to pick just one. I'm quite partial to that one with the four dudes rocking out on guitar, bass, keyboards and drums.

    Hello,

What a great list, as even I had well over 5-boxes-ticked, & over 1/2 the albums in the collection LOL ! However, there's a couple that do need to be posted here...

    * LITTLE FEAT - Feats Don't Fail Me Now.
    * RUSH -Rush.

    Ciao,

    Gregster

Some great albums and of course more to come but ...
Is it just me or does this seem like the beginning of a decline in rock music?
Maybe just what we think of as Classic Rock.
You take this list with the lists from the previous 7 or 8 years and it kind of pales in comparison.
Might be an age related perception. Apologies in advance.

Queen II might be my favorite of theirs, Relayer is one of the best Yes albums, same with Red, same with Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
