Ah, I see. I live in a very dry climate except in the winter when it typically rains as it is finally doing although in amounts we are struggling to maintain. I have to keep humidifiers with my acoustic guitars and it's amazing how fast I have to add moisture. I'll keep an eye out now for such signs with used lps I buy.
I can picture that on a book. I think I've seen that before. I'm not sure I've seen it on a cover or inner sleeve before. I'll be watching for it now.

From Michael Feinstein's debut album, Pure Gershwin (1987), duet with Rosemary Clooney on this song: OK, yes, a bit kitsch, but I can't tell you how often I listened to that album at the time. I have always loved George G.'s music, as I must have mentioned before.
Now playing. Just received this CD yesterday, found at a great price on Amazon US (just over $5, new!). Great band, and I love the version of "Orbits" included here.
What a trumpeter and what a character! In storage I have a half dozen LPs of air checks of his orchestra, need to pull them out and listen to them soon.
Never been too crazy about that album cover (and always taken aback by it, since the record was released in 2013). Anyway: great music, for sure. And Danilo Perez!
Great stuff. Besides Trane I really like Sonny's playing on the fall concerts too. Very fluid and super pro.
So we are quite lucky you didn't accidentally post a random train stranger's behind, bald spot, or backpack as your new avatar...
WP Coltrane - A Love Supreme (Impulse) mono original NP Miles - Miles Smiles (Columbia) 2 eye mono Re:1960 Miles set, is it a Trane or Stitt package or do they ever play together?
Not jazz, but the late George Michael's "Careless Whisper". He wrote that sax hook at age 17. Imagine!
I'd go for the Solar Plexus/Belladonna before the Elastic Rock/We'll Talk About It Later, but you're going to need to get them all eventually, so it doesn't really matter.
Guilty, although my favorite Nucleus/Carr releases are live discs that have Spedding or Russell on guitar.
Lonson, your lights, please: were Bunny Berigan and Jabbo Smith real competition for Louis Armstrong at that time? What about our Little Jazz friend Roy Eldridge? (I have to admit I might have the whole timeline a bit confused.)
