On the other hand, I thought Grand Funk's "Loco-motion" was Billy Squier.

Sorry, He doesn't sound remotely like Robert Plant there.

Dave King can do a good Plant impersonation and that's why he got the the gig with Fastway. Lenny Wolf of Kingdom Come sounded very close to Plant, too. It's no mystery why these guys were popular (for a brief time).

I read an interview where Pitney heard If Black Is Black on the radio and he was trying to remember when in the heck did he record that song! So don't feel bad.

I'm listening to Clay Cook's North Star album now, and it's unreal how much he sounds like Steve Miller.

Hm, Gene Pitney has always sounded just slightly like Neil Sedaka to me.

I was shocked when I found out about Ocasek and Orr from The Cars, but now that I know there are two of them, I think I can tell the difference. Ocasek's voice has more of an edge, while Orr's is smoother.

Gary Moore (mid-80's era) used to sound like mid-to-low-registry Glen Hughes

Collins / Gabriel when then were doing harmonies

the Psychedelic Furs guy occasionally channels that mid register vibrato Bowie voice - "Station to Station"

Jennifer Warnes on the Donald Fagen song "Big Noise New York" completely channels Joni Mitchell on the silky high passages

Ian Curtis of Joy Division at times sounds like Jim Morrison of the Doors

I always thought the song "Heart and Soul" was sung by Olivia Newton John, it wasn't until a couple of days ago that I learned that it was actually by the group T'Pau and their singer is Carol Decker. That's 28 years or so that I couldn't tell them apart.

Nah. Sometimes it is hard to pick out the Phil lead lines on 'The Lamb' - when he is playing brother John.

Unrelated, until I looked at the credits, I didn't realize 'Seconds' was sung by The Edge and not Bono. Now it seems obvious.

With Bon you are able to understand the words, not so with Brian.

Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac and Paulette Carlson of Highway 101. Not only do their voices sound similar, they look very similar and through the years, have worn similar fashion styles.

Edge sings the first chorus and verse, then Bono sings the second verse, then there's some back and forth, and they sing the ending together.
