Do you remember where you've seen this information? Session track sheets?

Andrew Sandoval once shared recording session information on an old Dion website that no longer exists.

Thanks so much for sharing your continued wealth of Dion information!

Do either of you know if the versions on this set of "Baby, I'm In The Mood For You", "Two Ton Feather", and "All I Want To Do Is Live My Life" are the same versions as the ones on "The Road I'm On" and "Bronx Blues" comps? I don't have the session info for them handy, and although I love these versions - they always sounded sonically different to me than the classic Tom Wilson produced Wanderers stuff like "Time In My Heart", "Won't Bring The Rain" "Now", "Wake Up Baby" etc.

All I Want to Do will be a version we never heard produce by Tom Wilson. The others can be found on the aforementioned comps. What mixes they are using remains to be seen.

There are two versions of Two Ton Feather on those comps. One prod by Wilson, the other by Mersey. Both great.

Thanks! Is that thought to be the only "previously unreleased" version of a song on this comp?

As far as I can tell unless they are using previously unheard vintages mixes on sone of these tracks. Road Im On used a lot of modern remixes. You'll find vintage mixes of these same songs on the Wonder Where Im Bound album.

That would be neat. On my homemade comp of the Tom Wilson stuff I can definitely hear a sonic shift between the "Wonder Where I'm Bound" and "Road I'm On" tracks. Although I like the clarity and crispness of the modern mixes, the vintage mixes on "Wonder" definitely have an appealing murky warmth. I dig both...

Don't hold your breath for that. Now I haven't heard it yet, but nobody told me anything about it being a different version from the one we know and love.

They said three tracks were produced by Mersey. That would be "Younger Than Yesterday", "Kickin Child", and "Its All Over Now Baby Blue". Unless that was misinformation as well.

Whats the point of exclaiming "produced by Tom Wilson" on the cover if a third of the album isn't?

Well I've never heard of All I Want To Do not being produced by Tom Wilson. As far as I know, it was cut on the same sessions as the other eleven songs.

Are there different versions of 'You Move Me' ? When I place it in the current sequence, it sounds like it was recorded in the late 70's/early 80's. Not a fan of the production or the song for that matter?

EDIT - the track starts with a drum groove then an electric guitar.

Upon review I see I've been remembering things wrong. We DO have the Wilson produced, "All I Want To Do", not the Mersey. So I guess there really isn't anything new on this set after all, aside from having everything under one roof. My bad. This is why they never call on me to consult. ;)

That track was cut mid-90's. Not the same song.

Because it looks boss as hell, that's why! :)

Besides, it's a welcome change from seeing Dion grinning in a winter sweater, as if he were Bobby Rydell or something.

I like both covers. They make Dion look like the boss rockin' daddy he really is. Much better than those "teen-idol-y" covers he was saddled with, like this:
