I sincerely wish you well. The guys I know locally struggle. The one owner told me how disillusioned he is at times, knowing he is working at something that will never be a success.
But what he didn't say, I'm sure, is that he wanted to do this for years and he isn't behind a desk.
Stay in it for the long haul, friend.

Actually those Dynaflex records generally sound really good.

    Of course :righton:,
Me and my wife like the name, it's a name that most record collectors know, it's record related and rolls off the tongue.
At first I wanted to call it Blue Note after the store in North Miami that I used to run, but that was then and Dynagroove is now.

Besides records, I'm going to carry 8-tracks and reel to reel.

And I'll be at 2028 Harwyn Road Wilmington De. 19810

Look forward to meeting you. May 1st is a Monday, and since I have the luxury in retirement of not working, I will be there.

    Cheers

Good luck to you! I have a few friends who own small record stores, and while it's clearly not an easy job, they really seem to love it. Hope you have much success!

Cool, will have to stop by whenever passing through. How does the market look for a shop of this kind down in Columbus? Any other decent stores to compete with or will yours be one of a kind?

I bought my first two Beatle albums at Flipside (Please Please Me and Let it Be - to cover the whole gamut) on cassette in the early 90s. After I became a bonafide future Hoffman forums poster a week later, I bought up everything Beatles they had. Got some sweet 45s.

The best of luck to you! Although I live well north of Georgia, I do have a few friends that live down that way. If I ever get into the area, I'll look it up for sure. I've been harboring notions of doing a record store myself, but it's going to take some time and money as well as the proper location. Anyways, good luck again to you!

That's great news! I worked in some record stores back in the 80s - had a lot of fun! Now, it's so cool vinyl and analog in general have staged a comeback. (As should be!) I think your timing is good. Hope I can get out there someday to check you out (never been to Georgia ;-) Best of luck!!

The closest record store that I know of is in Montgomery Alabama, quite a haul from Columbus. They do have Barnes & Nobel and 2nd & Charles that carries some vinyl. Does that count?

Congratulations! Best wishes for your success. :) My fiance and I are in the process of starting a record selling business ourselves (flea market stall and discogs at first). Do you have a Facebook page or website? I'd love to share with my friends and family out that way!

I've been to his store. Great selection, fair prices and nice guy. I would encourage everyone in the area to visit his store. It's worth the trip! So far I've bought around 20 records from him, most of them titles I have been trying to find for years.

The highlights of what I bought: introducing the Beatles (genuine), 1st pressing Head, 1st press Love Revisited, Of Cabbages & Kings etc.....

This guy is a fan, knows music and has the best selection within 100 miles of here.
