    Mighty Baby - s/t

Found both these albums in my local flea market for about $ 2 each. Hadn't heard of either bands before, but liked the covers and bought it based on that alone. Little did I realize they were both extremely rare and going for hundreds of dollars on eBay! Out of the two I prefer Mighty Baby, but I wouldn't be averse to selling either of them (after doing a needle drop)!

The Rutles, "All You Need is Cash".
I saw it at the record store, knew nothing of the project, by my instincts told me to grab it. I loved it immediately. Two days later, the TV special aired. It was perfect timing.
Remains a favorite to this day.

I bought both of these records in the mid 90's based completely on the cover art. Changed my life.

Got this one a year ago unheard. Sounds as good as it looks.

Re-posting Thelonious Monk Underground, this time with the cover art. Because it's too good not to see.

Little did high school me know this album would blow my mind. No idea what or who this was, but one of the best blind buys ever.

    I have two.

    The first one:

Which ended up being a really good record.

    And the second one:

Which is about as bad as you'd expect, but I just had to have it. (The back cover is even better, but I couldn't find a good image of it online.)

Granted, it was a $5 cut-out, and that also influenced my decision to buy it. I saw the cover and thought - this has GOT to be power pop, and I was right.

This quickly became my #1 album of the year. I also have the original version of this album autographed by Will.

Rush "2112" on April 1976. I always loved that cover.

Then I flipped it and saw the picture on the back cover and had second thoughts...

Black & white picture, leather jacket, t-shirts, the '59 reference, the retro 'stereo' logo... that was all I needed to see. And it completely met my expectations.

Bought this used for a dollar in Melbourne Florida 1980 or 81, became a life-long fan. Saw them 3 times in Boston in the 80s then Vancouver and Halifax in the 00s before Doug passed away.

I am a big fan of Norman Rockwell's art. That first PPL was a must have

I did this quite a bit when I was a young lad. My most notable example: The Dark Side of the Moon. I think I'd read about PF in either Circus or Creem but had never heard a note of their music. When this title showed up in Dom's Record Shop in Yonkers, NY, the weird prism/refraction thing caught my eye and I took a flyer. Who knew it'd turn out to be one of the best selling LPs of all time?

My first love in music was Herb Alpert but his album covers were probably the first thing that got my attention especially this one.

I don't think I ever bought a new album for the cover, but I often buy $1 bin titles based on the cover, regardless of the vinyl condition.
